The Darkness in the Light

Promoting Kemetic Thoughts and Independent Pagan Writing

I want your blood
Like I want your sex
I wish we’d fuck
Like we never met

I want your taste
Copper-burnt but sweet
I want your brains
Tongue inside your meat

Spread it ‘round like goo
Dripping from the tip
Lap it up, all fours!
Yeah I am that bitch

This is not for show
I don’t sin for kicks
Seen that strip marked caution?
Better take the hint

Drain u till dry
Wring u out o’er sticks
Satiated in spades
Be my crucifix!

Now our work is done
We are quite complete
Till we meet again
Dirty Deeds, Still Dirt Cheap

The accused Kansas killer’s neo-pagan religion

….***sighs heavily***…

(CNN) – Frazier Glenn Cross is a white supremacist, an avowed anti-Semite and an accused killer. But he is not, as many think, a Christian.

Cross, who also goes by the name Glenn Miller, is accused of killing three people – all Christians — on Sunday at Jewish institutions in Overland Park, Kansas.

Authorities are weighing whether to file hate-crime charges against Cross, who is suspected of targeting Jews.

The 73-year-old has espoused anti-Semitism for decades. He also founded racist groups like a branch of the Ku Klux Klan and the White Patriot Party, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Both groups have deep ties to Christian white supremacists.

But according to Cross’ 1999 biography, he is an adherent of Odinism, a neo-pagan religion that experts say has emerged as one the most vicious strains in the white supremacist movement.

“The faith’s obsession with genetic…

Now Available: The Bible and Hellenism

Front cover.inddDid the Bible only take its definitive form after Alexander conquered the Near East, after the Hellenisation of the Samaritans and Jews, and after the founding of the great library of Alexandria? The Bible and Hellenism takes up one of the most pressing and controversial questions of Bible Studies today: the influence of classical literature on the writing and formation of the Bible.

Bringing together a wide range of international scholars, The Bible and Hellenismexplores the striking parallels between biblical and earlier Greek literature and examines the methodological issues raised by such comparative study. The book argues that the oral traditions of historical memory are not the key factor in the creation of biblical narrative. It demonstrates that Greek texts – from such authors as Homer, Hesiod, Herodotus and Plato – must be considered amongst the most important sources for the Bible.

the last kiss goodnight.

~a short story revolving around a love letter the heroine never mailed to the object of her affection, who will never know how she truly feels for him~

I cant stop seeing your hands, that day. Strong fingers loosely grasping the steering wheel, as your thick auburn curls went mad from the wind blowing thru them via the cracked window.
the wide-mouthed smile you get, only when i’m around. I hope u know how privledged i feel, how humbled i become knowing i’m one of the few that gets to ever see it.

…i know u dont, though…

The reason i sweat so much in your presence is because you make me so very nervous, and shy…the intensity of your eyes is overwhelming, all the time. Suddenly, i’m no longer 30something, jaded gal. With u, i become that woefully shy, pimple-faced cokebottle-glasses wearing 13yrold girl with the braces and badly applied wet’n’wild lipstick. I cant speak without stuttering awkwardly in your presence.

I want you to love me so badly, i cant breathe sometimes.

Why cant you see me? Don’t you know i’m in love with u? Totally, completely, head-over-heels gone on you? Can’t you see the lie in my eyes, when we laugh about your latest failed date or hookup? Don’t u see the pain written all over my face, as i try to pretend i’m happy about your next girlfriend, or hookup or date?

…dont u know your scent, your taste make me mad with desire? I turn feral, scenting the air like a bitch in heat when you’re around. That smell, of your skin? I could go catatonic for a century, just sitting in a room that was formerly occupied by you.

Can’t you smell me back? My desire for u so uncontrollable that i get wet the moment i’m in your presence…it’s tantric, trying not to let on how much i want your hands on me. It’s why i constantly tremor in your presence…u must think i’m so easy in every way, how freely i give it up to u, knowing that you’ll never call me yours in love, but always in lust.

This is the last night we’ll speak, that was the last time i’ll ever be in your presence. You dont know it yet, but i do. U dont know you’re the reason i packed my bags and left everything behind. U dont know that after we were together that last time, i realized i would never love again; i’m cursed to always ever love You, the one who’ll never love me back.

Miss me when i’m gone, dollface. See the full moon and you’ll get a glimpse of my invisible tears. Like the moon, alone from afar – ‘round you i’ll always orbit…now, and all the rest of my years.

I’m in a phenomenal place

There is no sound, no feeling, no smell or taste

It is the Darkness~the Soulless Pit, the Abyss!

How could you not know, however could it be missed?

This is the reality, finalized and discovered~You know me, now!

This is the Darkness, the place where nightmares play, unbound

This is the dusk, the Twilight of my Soul

It is the breaking point, where I am undone & no longer whole

It’s here that I enter Purgatory, this place where I now know rest

It’s here starts the silence-

My Meditation, I can let it off my chest

It’s here I can watch now

I can lay down my sword and exit life’s fight

This place is the Dreamscape, the Goddess’ Bosom, Blessed Mother Night

Hold your daughter, for she is emptied of her will to just BE

Madre Luna! Blessed Isis, Great Innana set me free

Take me to him–to the God, he who waits

Take me to him, so that he may hold me in his loving arms

Take me to him–cloaked head-veiled face-hidden charms

Heal me, Great One! Give me Solace in the sound

The sound of your voice, the rolling bass of thunder on the hilltops that abound

Righteous and plentiful, the seduction of your touch…

Lover of the Darkness…I can wait no longer…forever has been one moment to much

Leaflets ordering Jews to register in east Ukraine city or be deported creating fear. Threat evocative of 1930s. Pro-Russian separatists say order isn’t real. But someone is trying to scare Ukrainian Jews. The question is: Who?

Originally posted on Joel C. Rosenberg's Blog:

ukraine-map UPDATED: ( Washington, D.C.) — There is a deeply disturbing article in the USA Today that I encourage you to read and share with others. It reports that leaflets are being spread throughout the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk saying that government officials controlled by pro-Russian forces are ordering Jews to register with local authorities and pay a fee, or they could be deported and their assets could be confiscated.

Secretary of State John Kerry today called such actions “intolerable” and “grotesque.” But pro-Russian separatists flatly deny the allegations that they have been distributing leaflets requiring Jews to register.

The leaflets exist. They’ve been spread all over the city of Donetsk. They’re even printed on official government stationary and they bear the signature of the mayor. But the mayor says he didn’t write it. So who did? Are they a hoax, or official policy?

One thing is clear: someone is targeting the Jewish people of Ukraine, trying to…

Underground Kemeticism: How public are you about your beliefs and practices? How has it (or not) impacted your work life, your familial and friendly ties? What advice would you give to uncertain Kemetics about how to approach either telling or not telling others about their beliefs?

There is a fairly popular notion among many religious communities that people should be vocally public about their religious identity and activities. It is also widely held that if a person doesn’t engage in this socially expected behavior, that person is a coward, or somehow ashamed of who (s)he is and what (s)he believes. This is simply not true. What is true is that only each individual can decide how public or private to be, informed by his or her own particular cultural, political, familial, and career-related experiences and circumstances. It is…

Attention Pagans – repeating this bullshit makes us look stupid. This stuff comes from half-wit anti-Catholic literature of the 19th century – it is worthless in light of modern scholarship.

Let’s do this in detail:
1: Ishtar is not pronounced ‘eester’ – silly.
2: Ishtar was a goddess of fertility and sex, also war and sovereignty. While the Spring equinox season was important, it was not her particular feast.
3: There are no depictions of her with eggs or rabbits.
4: Constantine did not Christianize the Roman empire, he only made Christianity legal.I can’t say whether Ishtar was still in business during Constantine’s time.

Most specifically, “Ishtar” has nothing to do with ‘Easter’
Easter was said by the early medieval scholar, Bede (and only by him) to be derived from the English goddess-name Eoster. That name is hard to trace, though a bit of progress has…

Everyday Pagans — We Are the Norm, Despite Current News

Originally posted on hecatedemeter:

Given the recent unpleasant news about some Big Name Pagans (BNPs), I think it’s time for another of my Everyday Pagan (EDPs) posts. I love when people share their stories; please share yours in comments or via email. While a number of BNPs embarrass the rest of us, here is how some EDPs live their lives:

* C. works in the science lab of a large, East Coast university. She takes a lot of pride in preparing samples with care, and knows that, ultimately, even her mundane work of keeping petri dishes clean, recording results to the fourth and fifth decimal point, and turning in meticulous records will help to make mothers and babies safe. She practices a very strict version of Reconstructionist Hellenism and does yoga to keep her body fit. C. first read the stories of Greek Goddesses and Gods when she was seven years old and she…

Emily Explains: Letting Go… A Lesson of Decreasing in Pattern

Lucky for me, we have a sample of the sweater in the office and my desk is conveniently located right next to the designer!
